Hitting the Groomers

Apparently, skiers can send it too. Louis is proving it with this shifty tailcrab.
Same spot, another shifty, a different rider, no grab, no style? So much fun!
Flo is sending this massive method air right into the revy sky.
Don't burn yourself bud, the sun is hot!
Explosions everywhere these days. The light snow is pretty fun to spray. Some more pow would be even better ...

Thanks to Robin for the last two pictures.

Shots

Enjoying some fresh air.
Pillows, ...

... pillows, ...
... pillows!
Little cliffs ...
... and pow!

Thanks to Johannes for the pictures. Check out his facebooksite: talentfrei !

Thumbs Up!

Yesterday, we hiked up to the summit again. That's the view into the Southbowl where we rode down the day before.
A little selfie, a must nowadays ...
... like summit pics.
Who's that!?
Our way to the Thumb over the back of Mount Mac Kenzie.
That's the "Thumps Up" chute we rode.
Our route, the big "Thumb" and Mount Mac Kenzie.

Hiking and More

Two days ago, we went up and enjoyed some sunshine and this random RMR view.
We hiked up to the Sub Peak ...
... where another great view awaited us.
Dani, a very good friend of Simon, tried to get some more information about good zones to ride.
The weather was nearly as good as we felt, so we decided to go all the way up to the summit of Mount Mac Kenzie.
It's a nice hike up there. Great views, sunshine all the way up, no winds and we've been a good group of 5 people.
Looking back to the Sub Peak ...
... and on the summit with Ryan, a snowboard judge from Colorada.
Good guys, good riding, good times.
Johannes found some powder to slay on our way back down; Southbowl!
After a long day, we enjoyed the sunset at Mac Kenzie's Outpost. Felt like sitting at the beach and looking across the ocean; but better.

Riding RMR

You wake up to some fresh snow ...
... go up the mountain ...
... and suddenly don't know which way to go ...
... but you kind of know what you have to do: send it!

Touring at Roger's Pass

Split your board, touring is on again!
Alex took me to the Roger's Pass, which is one of the most famous touring spots around Revelstoke. He is an outdoor-loving American ...
... and we had an amazing day, for sure.
The view on top wasn't that good, but the run down was loaded with deep powder.

Angry Trees

I got bitten by an angry tree the other day. I hope this special tape will last a few weeks.

Sledding at Boulder Mountain

After getting some gas we fired Mickey's baby up ...
... and rode up Boulder Mountain, where this scenery waited for us.
Our first stop ...
... was a nice cabin. We were the first up there and had some time to kill. So we got a fire started and warmed up a little bit ...
... until our guide Alex arrived. He's one of Mickey's best friends and knows ...
... this mountain quite well.
Mickey, after an amazing run.
Mount MacKenzie with the resort on the left side of the picture and a little bit more to the right: Mount Cartier.
We made it home safely, enjoyed a great sunset, an even better dinner which Mickey's girlfriend Maddie cooked for us and some beers, of course.

The Lineup Post

Almost every resort in Northern America lacks snow, except Revelstoke. A big dump over night (about 20 cm new snow) and the Christmas Holidays led to this crazy lineup yesterday. We still found some amazing runs, fresh pow and even first tracks. Maybe, because we showed up pretty early:
Thanks to Peter Digby and Johannes Kreutle for the pictures.

Revy Life

Meet Johannes. He is from Ulm, not far away from where I am from. We met here a few weeks ago, went snowboarding together a couple of times and on New Years Eve we shoveled some snow. The money was as good as the burgers on the top of roof.
